I bought this for my daughter, i thought she would enjoy a true tail about dolphins being the dolphin fan she is. I was a little disappointed that more information wasn't given about the dolphins from the time they were located to the time they were returned to an aquarium. It would have also been interesting to know how they thought the dolphins made it into the ocean. It was a very basic story We did enjoy the real pictures at the back of the book.
My granddaughters read this after a visit to Disney and Sea World and it was meaningful to them. A great story read by the family at night after busy days as it teaches my grandchildren the value of a great story and the joy of reading for life. This story about a real event brought home to them that as the care takers of the world and its fellow inhabitations of plants and animals that it behooves us to learn how to survive together. A great story and well executed !A little story for the whole family to read together and for a child to ponder over after reading. This was one of the books I chose for these children for the month and was I ever pleased with their approval.
I bought the book to give to a 3rd grade class, and the students loved it. They had been studying dolphins, and this book really added to their library of books on dolphins.Eight Dolphins to Katrina
Wonderful story about the rescue of these dolphins and how they found their way back to their home. Pictures were cute, interesting and helped explain the storyline beautifully. I loved it.
Cute book. I admire the authors in that they took used a current event and wrote a children's book. More current events should be available to read to young children so they get exposed to the real world.
bought this as a gift for a young niece who is animal lover has great pictures and a terrific story. This should be a movie.
I didn't realize this kind of is a book for little kids ... short, not especially detailed. That said, it was still interesting to read. Have passed it on.
