I found this very helpful. The maps were up to date and I really enjoyed reading it from his personal experiences. I found that all his reviews were correct.We really loved the scenic drives. There are walking trips, driving tours and suggestions based on whether you have one day up to two weeks. I found that helpful because it's impossible to decide what's really the most important. We really enjoyed the suggestion to take the ship to a few of the more secluded beaches. Other people at the resort mentioned how terrible the drive/walk to Balos was and how they wished that they had just paid for the sail. We took the guide's advice and enjoyed cocktails and a relaxing sail to the best beach in the world.The history wasn't overloaded either. Some of our guidebooks seemed more like a history lesson than a practical tourist's evaluation. Plus, I don't like to ruin the tour by reading long explanations beforehand.Our trip was amazing and this guide helped to make that possible.I'm not affiliated with this company or products. I wasn't paid or received anything in compensation for this review.
Used this alot with my October 2012 trip to Crete.We were there for 2 1/2 wks and we only missed oneday outside due to a down pour.The tips let us see lots and some Greeks we met saidthat we had seem more than them and they lived there onCrete there whole life!
Helped us immensely on our recent visit. Simple and easy to carry around.
Really in depth description of all area's of Crete. I am going in a few months and already know exactly where to go and where to eat.
