There is a wealth of very valuable information in this book. I have just looking at places I have been to before and have been very impressed with all the information about where to go birding and what you can see there. I am studying for my next trip there in December.
I bought this guide several months ago and gave it what I thought was a decent look and felt I had made a good investment. Now that I am just a few weeks away from returning to Costa Rica for our second birding visit I am realizing what a treasure trove I have at my disposal as I invest the time to mine its many depths of wealth. Hoping for an up to date guide on where to go to find what along with where I might stay while doing so I am fully satisfied. Checking out the well-written accounts of bird families and the all important HOW to find them I am very pleased. This will be our valued guide to supplement the current fg to Costa Rican birds as well as the IPhone app we have for learning bird song as well. Highly recommended to my friends coming to Costa Rica to enjoy the birds.
